How to Enjoy Smørrebrød Like a Local

If it’s your first time trying smørrebrød with us, here’s a quick introduction with some recommendations. If you're already a smørrebrød pro, feel free to dive straight into the menu! Typically, we suggest ordering 2-3 pieces and letting us know the order you'd like them served. We serve each smørrebrød as soon as it’s ready, so feel free to order an extra piece later—it’ll arrive alongside the rest of the table’s food! The same goes for dessert. If you know what you want, you can order it right away, or wait until you’ve finished your last smørrebrød.

We focus on using high-quality, organic ingredients, and we prepare most of our dishes from scratch. When you visit us, we aim to offer you a relaxing experience where you can enjoy delicious food in a cozy atmosphere. We hope to surprise you with our unique flavor combinations and creative dishes.

The team behind

Boulevarden 129 is a newly renovated version of the old Boulevard Bodega. There has been a bar and restaurant business on the premises since 1938 and we have heard stories about Abild’s Bodega, as the place was called in the 1960s.

We took over Boulevarden in 2022 and have preserved as much as we could, including the historically beautiful murals with motifs from Christianshavn and Nyhavn. We are Marianne (chef), Mark (bar manager) and Søren (everything else)
